UK Building Regulations stipulate fire barriers must be installed in gaps in fire walls and cavity areas that are vulnerable to the spread of fire.
Using the correct passive fire protection component within a building is crucial and in the event of a fire, intumescent fire barriers activate and seal holes, penetrations and cavities, preventing the spread of fire and smoke.
In addition, the regulations may also require the cavity area to allow a free flow of air reducing condensation and possibly to provide thermal and fire protection simultaneously. Envirograf have now designed a series of flexible fire protection cavity barriers that fully satisfies all of these cavity protection requirements.
All are easy to handle and fit for a speedy installation.
