About White Intumescent Coating Kit to Upgrade Raised and Fielded Doors

This is a water based intumescent coating system for upgrading doors and panelling to fire door status. Each kit contains 500ml of primer, 1.5 litre of intumescent coating, and 500ml of top coat.

The doors must have a minimum 6mm thick fielded area and 28mm minimum thickness stiles and rails. Materials contained in each kit are enough to cover 6m area (according to the size of the door, enough material to cover three to four sides of single doors).

Only the risk side needs to be coated on room doors and both sides on doors leading onto corridors or at the top of stairs. There is no need to remove any existing paints, varnish, or gold leaf. 

This product can be applied directly over all previous coatings after normal surface washing. Fire tests have been carried out on specific panels and doors.
