The Non Ventilated Sponge Cavity Barrier is manufactured from a 40mm thick flexible fire proof sponge which is fixed in a horizontal position in a brick/block cavity.

The Sponge Cavity Barrier has unique self spring properties and is fixed into the cavity by simply pressing the seal into place.

The ordering sizes are the cavity width. The barrier width is 10mm wider.

Priced per linear metre.

 Tested to BE EN1363-1, 1999 achieving 132 minutes

About Non Ventilated Sponge Cavity Wall Barrier

The fire proof sponge ensures optimum durability and moisture protection as well as offering continued thermal insulation within the cavity section.The barriers can be fitted horizontally or vertically between brick or block walls, resisting fire and smoke. 

It operates as a powerful intumescent seal that in the event of a fire will expand, filling the cavity and stopping the spread of fire and smoke.

Sponge cavity barriers provide their own thermal insulation and also allow for insulation material to be installed above and below the barrier
