Description

About Envirograf Wood Filler

A versatile water-based wood filler which can be coated over with either fire protective or intumescent paints and lacquers - Envirograf Intumescent Coatings Product 42 (HW01 or HW02) or Envirograf Fire Retardant Coatings Product 92 (ES/VFR or QVFR) to provide robust protection from fire.

It is used to fill gaps and holes in cracked or split door panels or wall panels. 

The wood filler is a light buff colour, but it can be coloured as required by mixing-in a water-based stain or emulsion paint.

Apply with a putty knife or spatula.

It is sufficiently dry in 30 minutes to enable it to be lightly sanded before painting over with Envirograf Intumescent or Flame Retardant coatings.

Question: 

Do you have to paint over it for it to be fireproof. We just need to fill some holes left in a door because the lock was changed. The holes need to be filled because it is a fire door but we don't really need it to be painted.
Answer: 

The fireproof filler does not have to be painted over if it is not desired.

It will still maintain the integrity of the door.
