About Envirograf HW Intumescent Clear Coating for 30/60 Minutes Fire Protection
Fire protection doesn't have to compromise your building's appearance.
Envirograf Intumescent Waterborne Clear Lacquer dries to a smooth, durable finish.
HW Intumescent products are designed to offer 30/60 minutes fire penetration protection and Class 1 & 0 Spread of Flame protection.
When exposed to fire, the intumescent paint swells and chars preventing the fire from penetrating the timber structure.
The duration of protection is dependent on the type and thickness of the timber, for an exact specification call the HSP Fire Protection team on 01793 525241.
HW Intumescent Clear Lacquer is easy to apply by brush, roller or spray.
To achieve Class 1 & Class 0 Spread of Flame Protection, apply 1 coat at 8m2 per litre.
For 30/60 minutes Fire Penetration Protection, apply 2 coats at 8m2 per litre leaving 45 minutes drying time between each coat.
Envirograf Intumescent Lacquer can be used on new and previously coated, interior and exterior wood.
When painting previously coated wood, HW Clear Adhesion Primer must be applied first.
To guarantee fire protection, HW products must be over-coated using either an Interior or Exterior Protective Topcoat.
