Intumescent coating for steel and other metals offering up to and including 90 minutes of fire protection.

It can be applied both on and off site.

This product has been subjected to a series of tests in accordance with the procedures and criteria of BS476 Part 20 (1987), showing that it can offer protection to structural steel for up to 90 minutes, and it has been tested when applied over multiple layers of existing paint, achieving protection of 150 minutes.

These coatings have also been tested to BS476 Part 22 (1987) on aluminium with Granada Windows (achieving 38 minutes of fire protection) and again on aluminium with Wessex Medical lifts (achieving 49 minutes of fire protection).

About Intumescent Coating Fire Protection for Steel and Aluminium

Envirograf EP/FS/INT offers up to and including 90 minutes of fire protection and can be applied both on and off site.

EP/FS/INT is a waterborne product with low odour, often chosen as the ideal solution for on-site application.

A full range of top seals mixed to any colour and finish for interior and exterior application are available to complement the intumescent coating. 

The type, profile and application of the metalwork has a direct bearing on the volume and film weight of intumescent coating required to achieve the optimum fire protection.

Looking for fire resistant/retardant paint for a steel rsj (internal) but in anthracite colour
Answer: 

Intumescent coatings will only be white for steel, however we can offer a suitable topcoat that can be to any colour and finish that you require. Please contact the sales team to discuss the options.
