About Push-Fit Intumescent Fire and Smoke Seals

New push fit plastic intumescent fire and smoke seals, 2100mm long. Available plain as a fire seal only or with a brush angled or straight blade for a fire and smoke seal. The seal is clipped into a routed groove with no need for adhesive or pins. 

The seals are sold for single or double doors.

Fire Rating:

• 10mm wide seals offer 30 minutes protection
• 15mm wide seals offer 60 minutes protection

Application

By routing a groove deeper than required for the seal itself, the additional grooving if the door edges need further planing is eliminated. When the door set closes and is ready for use the carpenter just clips the seal into the groove.

Ease of use during redecoration:

The seal can be easily removed from the top or bottom of the door using a screw driver to release it so that decoration can take place without damaging the seal. Once decorating is complete the seal can be clipped back into place.
